 Following the launch of the Transport Select Committee’s report today on safety at level crossings, Barlaston MP, Bill Cash said:“I support the Committee’s findings that Network Rail must improve its communication with the families of people killed or injured at level crossings by appointing a single British Transport Police liaison officer to communicate with affected families until all legal proceedings are concluded.

Cash pursues objection to wind turbines at Pingle Lane with Planning Inspectorate

Stone MP, Bill Cash informed the Planning Inspectorate this week that he had objected to Stafford Borough Council on the application and will continue to object to the appealing to their refusal of planning application (13/19205/FUL) for the proposed installation of 2 wind turbines at Pingle Lane in Stone.

Bill Cash calls for retaining of local bus services

MP for Stone, Bill Cash has written to Staffordshire County Council to make clear his objection to withdrawing any of the bus services – in particular the Wardle/Bennetts 1 (Stonefield Circular), 2 (Aston Lodge Circular) and 3 (Oulton Cross Circular) services; Arriva Midlands/Bennetts' 164 (Hanley to Market Drayton); Wardle's 190 (Cranberry to Hanley); Bennetts Travel's 250 (Walton to Longton), 436 (Stafford to Market Drayton) and 490 (Stone to Stafford); Arriva Midlands' 432 and 433 (Stafford to Knightley) and Bakers Coaches' X5 (Hanley to Newport).

Stone MP, Bill Cash, slams Cotwalton wind turbine proposals

Stone MP, Bill Cash has objected to the planning application (13/19630/FUL) for the installation of a wind turbine, including an access track at land Northeast of Cotwalton, Drumble Woods, Cotwalton Road, Cotwalton in Stone.In line with the views of his constituents, Bill Cash has provided his objection to Stafford Borough Council on the basis that the proposals will have a negative visual impact on the nearby residents in his constituency.
