Further to the meeting Stone MP, Sir Bill Cash held with the Stafford Borough Council Chief and Leader on improving the business environment for the High Street and seeking fair business rates on 13th February and meetings in Westminster, Sir Bill is currently engaged in the following activities:
Sir Bill Cash secured a debate on ‘HS2 phase 2 consultation and Stone constituency’ in the House of Commons on Thursday 24th November 2016. Attached are the proceedings of the debate, including the response by the Government transport minister, Andrew Jones MP.
Sir Bill Cash will be holding a public meeting at 5.15pm on Saturday 29th October in Yarnfield Village Hall on HS2, focusing particularly on the consultation to build a temporary construction facility (railhead) near Stone, in-between the proposed HS2 route and the M6.
Stone MP Sir Bill Cash has written to the Secretary of State for Transport, British Transport Police, the Health and Safety Executive and Network Rail, following the reported event involving the barriers coming down near the tracks at Barlaston.
Stone MP, Sir Bill Cash has this week written to Stone Town Council to urge them to publish proposals to develop a sustainable and diverse high street economy in Stone and also show the delivery of improved leisure facilities on Westbridge Park.
